Essential Functions:

  • Safely operate and maintain positive control of Umanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's) in all phases of ground and flight operations following air traffic control clearances, established aircraft operating procedures and taking appropriate actions during emergencies.
  • Ability to coordinate flight schedules, airspace, resources, and other aspects of flight operations.
  • Travel required
  • Weekend work may be required
  • Other duties as required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • FAA Part 107 Certificate required
  • UAV flying and technical experience required
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Leica Cyclone Experience a plus
  • 1-3 years of Land Surveying experience a plus
  • Must possess excellent communication, diplomacy and listening skills
  • Ability to operate a computer, using technical software and other applications, spreadsheets, and other business software.


Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for 8+ hours a day. Exposure to all weather conditions: hot, cold, wet, humid, or other conditions caused by weather. The UAV Technician will work in the field with the survey crew.  Field work is often performed on busy streets or construction sites. Loud noise may be experienced at times.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
