GIS Technician
Control Point Associates, Inc. – LINCGEO Team
Control Point Associates, Inc. is seeking a GIS Technician to support data analysis, GIS data development, mapping, and QA/QC processes. This role involves applying knowledge of GIS, geography, and data science—surveying experience is a plus. You will work closely with our team of GIS professionals and programming staff on diverse and challenging projects.

- Collect, develop, and maintain GIS data from multiple sources.
- Read maps and translate written data into spatial locations.
- Convert CAD files to GIS format.
- Perform GIS analyses, queries, and data manipulation.
- Produce accurate GIS maps and visualizations.
- Interpret Record Drawings and Surveys.
- Conduct field surveys to resolve conflicting data and ensure accuracy.
- Integrate maps, charts, spreadsheets, and text into reports and presentations.
- Maintain quality standards in line with customer and company expectations.
- Support field data collection projects.
- Participate in various data-scrubbing and QA/QC initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency with Esri platforms (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online).
- Knowledge of data management, editing, and SQL queries.
- Ability to translate hard copy or digital records into GIS datasets.
- Familiarity with Record Drawings, Surveys, and GPS data collection.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Java, Arcade, Python, ArcPy, VB Script, and SQL is a plus.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments.
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of equipment (up to 25 lbs).
- Valid driver’s license required.

- Pay Range: $22-$27 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
